- Modelize the refractive index of materials as a function of their composition and the wavelength
- Participate to the design of photonic integrated circuit
- A master 1, 2 years of study within engineer school or a professional licence
- Interest for experiment work

Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards.
Advanced Photonic Integration team develop, within III-V lab (a joint lab between Nokia, Thales and CEA Leti), advanced components for optical communication with very wide 3-dB bandwidth which can reach 100 GHz: integrated transmitter with lasers and modulators, detector based on photodiodes, optical amplifier. Our work focus on the optimization of basic building blocks (laser, modulator, photodiode, optical amplifier) but also on their integration within complex photonic integrated circuit (PIC), for exemple to realize an integrated coherent transceiver.
